Me me me Monday ; >
My aunt's donkey, love his face!
Hi everyone!
So, it's time to set a little boundary for myself. I've decided, thanks to my dear love Tyler and caring bf Britty, I'm going to take one day, just one, that is all mine. On this day I am not going to work, no estimates, no e-mails, no nothin' and it scares the bejeezus out of me because I'm not sure I can actually do it but I think I have to try. I need to try and do a little less. The demand for me to work 24/7 is there but I think I'll be able to give more after I've given a little back to myself. You know how it goes, fill up your cup and give to others from the over flow. Right now I feel like I'm at the bottom of a well and oceans of water are pouring down on my head and I've got a teaspoon to bail myself out.
Do you ever feel that way? What are some of the ways you guys take care of yourselves?

Sounds like a very, very smart plan!!! Stick to it, you and your business will be glad you did! Good luck! xoxo beth
It's called Family Time Sunday, baby! No email, no computer, no phone, no tv. Just a walk outside with my man and the peanut, coffee, pyjamas and early dinner on the couch.
DO IT!!
I bet you'll find your week is so much more productive and organized, too.... xoxoxox
... and Nene is me, Sandy.
:)
You definitely need to do it. It's so hard when it's your business to step away, but it must be done. Otherwise, you will drown and be no use to anyone - least of all yourself.
Smell the something-other-than-roses!
Go for a long dog walk, and find something tantalizing to read. xo
I think for me the best way to spend a day that is all mine, is to just do whatever I feel in the moment. No plans, no agendas. I'm proud of you, sweetie. This will definitely help in the long run.
Yay for an Alison-day! Oh the lounging possibilities you will have!
I definitely know that overwhelmed and in need of a bail-out feeling! I take every Saturday off of school-work. It is an all-day me fest which often involves shopping (ok, looking!), coffee or sweets from a bakery, a movie and take-out. Lately, watering my plants and tending to them has really helped (of course, that wouldn't be so much of a day off for you!).
Enjoy your Alison-day!

I declared yesterday Computer-Free Sunday! It was awesome. It was totally about crafting and cooking and reading.
Ah, the elusive me-time! It's sort of like yoga and meditation...I know I'd be better for it, but making the time just doesn't seem to happen without first experiencing the boders of a breakdown!
Phone down, laptop closed and back to basics. You deserve it and in the long run it will be better for you and your business. You deserve it Lady C..Sinead x
I take my little beat up florist hands to get a manicure (and usually a pedi to because I cannot resist.) I strongly recommend having a day to pamper yourself. After your mani/pedi I also recommend going to the AGO which seems to be one of the only places I can clear my head and feel truly inspired. Not to mention they have an absolutely fabulous exhibit on right now about the Royal Courts of India which is a definite must see.

I waffle back and forward between "I need to take care of myself" and "no one ever died of hard work".
I think R&R can come in the smallest and most hidden of moments. I love the transition of driving home from work. Tunes on the radio, adjusting from work to home.
It's not always rest that's required, sometimes just a short change of pace!
Do what you feel the need to do. Sometimes the anxiety of forced idleness is just as stressful as working!!!
