Congratulations!

Congratulations to John and Kristine on the birth of their very own little doodle. We can't wait to meet him!
Kristine was an exceptionally beautiful pregnant lady. I photographed her just a few weeks ago at her home in Parkdale and felt like Austin Powers screaming, "Yes, yes, more, more, that's money baby!" We had planned for another shoot but, surprise early doodle!

New life just makes me feel all giddy!

Guess who's back?

Kya is back and better than ever. She is definitely still in the running to becoming Coriander Girl's next top doodle. We will announce the winner at the end of the summer season.

Well, I'm off to my second official bbq of the summer. I'm dressing up in a high fashion sort of way. I'll be wearing peep toe patent leather pumps... that's right.

A little break

So, it's been wedding central here at Coriander Girl for the last few weeks. I'd say, given the fact I've only been in business nine months to have this many weddings under my belt so far is a good sign. I had a good two days off recouping with our folks and now it's time to come back at it, fresh and revitalized.
Here is a small preview of just some of the things we've done here in the shop over the last couple of weeks.

High fives go out to florists everywhere who are working their little butts off this summer. It's amazing how much time and energy goes into wedding flowers. I really had no idea. I liken it to an ice-burg. That centre piece sitting in front of you at your guest table is only just the tip.

Sale Sunday!

I guess Bert was just minding his own business, chillin' out by the beef minute steaks, when suddenly there was a terrible accident. I came in to find him at the bottom of the ladder along with an over turned ivy. Everything is okay now but we were worried there for a minute. When he came to, he requested steak and we all had a chuckle.
Seriously, this week end I've had way too much time on my hands because everyone is either away at the cottage or on a float at the parade. For you lucky stragglers I'm giving away flowers at a discount today. It might not be an auction but I've got some lovely bouquets for $30 marked down to $20!
If you can get here before five, I'll throw in a free $5 posy if you mention this post!

Coriander Girl loves SCHOOLYARD

Coriander Girl is so excited to welcome SCHOOLYARD to the shop. Beautifully made aprons are sure to make a perfect gift for that special gardening friend of yours and vintage tags add a charming detail to any gift.
Katie and Hilary have this to say about their fabulous company, "Our shared love of colour, texture and pattern led us to develop a line of textiles and paper for people who are as eco and design conscious as we are. Recycled, reclaimed and organic materials are the starting point for everything we make. We are constantly on the lookout for the most environmentally effective ways to make our paper and fabric goods and bring them to you! The Schoolyard line is designed and produced locally out of our Toronto screen-printing studio." How awesome are they?!!
Well, keep on the look out for Katie and Hilary and me and Julio down by the Schoolyard, we'll be there in our shiny new aprons gardening up a storm!
Click here for possibly one of the sweetest little doodle moments ever! Oh Sesame Street, you know just how to tug at my lil' heart strings.
Dance and clap everybody for life is just so beautiful. Remind me of this next week when I have three weddings in one day. Oh lordy.
